Serhii Zgurets, director of the Defense Express information and consulting company, believes that Ramstein's efforts should focus on the Ukrainian Armed Forces' transformation plan to ensure further victory and control over Ukrainian territories.

He shared the details with Espreso TV.

"Let's move away from the standard understanding of Ramstein meetings through weapons samples. There is an important difference to this Ramstein, taking into account the latest publications in the US press, namely, the CNN company reported on the discussion at the Ramstein meeting of plans for medium- and long-term support of Ukraine's Armed Forces through the formation of new plans and approaches. This plan is discussed with the participation of the Ukrainian and US military, which CNN refers to and says that the Americans want to understand Ukraine's plans for their army five years from now and years after the end of the war with the Russian Federation. That is, the first outlines of such a plan will be presented at Ramstein by the Pentagon," the military analyst commented.

Serhii Zgurets noted that this is exactly the strategic approach that has been expected for a long time. This plan is long-term, which will relate to the transformation of all further assistance from the US and will affect structural changes in the Ukrainian army. And the publication of Zaluzhnyi's article in Ukrinform on September 7 is partly an echo of the process that is taking place today between the US and Ukrainian sides. And Ramstein's efforts should be related to those changes that should take place in Ukraine's Armed Forces to ensure further victory and control over Ukrainian territories.

"Zaluzhnyi also says that it is necessary to approach qualitative changes through the expansion of the capabilities of the Ukrainian army with a focus on missile models, which will be discussed in Ramstein and will form the basis of the strategic plan for changes in the structure of the Ukrainian army. This plan should be ready within two months, then approved by Biden and further presented as the basis of the transformation of Ukraine's Armed Forces in the alliance with the US, which will provide the main types of weapons for this plan, including long-range means of impressions, airplanes, and helicopters to increase the mobile capabilities of the ground forces - all this is at the heart of the plan that is being discussed today between the US and Ukraine," Zgurets said.
