Norway will provide 10 bridges to Ukraine to replace destroyed ones
Ukraine will receive 10 bridges from Norway to replace the destroyed ones. In total, the bridges' cost amounts to NOK 30 million.
This is reported by Norway Postsen citing the statement of Norway's Minister of Foreign Affairs Anniken Huitfeld.
"The Russian warfare has cynically destroyed important parts of the infrastructure in Ukraine. In order to get food, water and medicine and wounded Ukrainians to hospital, Ukraine is completely dependent on the functioning of the road network," she stated.
The total cost of the bridges amounts to NOK 30 million (about USD 3 million dollars) and will be financed from the humanitarian budget of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Structural elements will be transported to Ukraine in 32 trailers, the first of which has already set off.
"The war in Ukraine can last a long time and we are prepared to have to contribute for a long time. In a short time, the government will announce new contributions. This will be in addition to the approximately 14 billion we have given or have promised to give this year and next year," said the minister.
