Next Ramstein may bring good news on aviation for Ukraine - Ihnat
Air Force spokesman Yuriy Ihnat says Ukraine expects good news on aircraft at the next Ukraine Defense Contact Group meeting in Ramstein
The spokesman shared the information on the United News national telethon.
"We expect good news from the next Ramstein meeting regarding aircraft. A decision needs to be made so that we can take certain steps to train pilots, technicians, and combat control officers. Once the decision is made, then we can count down the months until the actual transfer and commissioning of F-16 aircraft takes place," emphasized Ihnat.
In particular, the spokesman reiterated the thesis that Ukraine needs Western F-16 fighter jets to win the war.
"When the front line is saturated with enemy equipment, when Russian aviation is 3 times superior in technology and 5 to 6 times superior in number, these aircraft cannot influence the course of events that everyone expects, including counter-offensives and so on," he said.
