Ukraine's new record: 700 people simultaneously get tactical medicine training in Kyiv
On Sunday, November 10, 2024, 700 young people in Kyiv were simultaneously instructed in first aid and tactical medicine
Espreso correspondent Yuliia Zubchenko was at the record-breaking event.
"How to apply a tourniquet, tamponade a wound — more than 200 young people learned these skills hands-on, while 500 others watched the training online. According to the organizers, since the start of the full-scale invasion, Russian forces have been targeting civilians almost every day. Civilians are getting injured, and the more Ukrainians who know how to provide medical aid, the better our chances of saving the wounded," said Yuliia.
The courses were organized with support from the youth group Ukrainian Students for Freedom, led by Anna Tymoshenko.
The record was officially recognized by Hanna Krysiuk, director of the World Records Book.
The organizers plan to expand the training program and teach as many Ukrainians as possible these life-saving skills.
