NATO countries agree to develop multi-year assistance program for Ukraine
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg commented on the results of the Foreign Ministers meeting in Brussels on April 4-5
According to the statement on NATO website, support for Ukraine was the main topic of discussion in Brussels. The Secretary General welcomed the new commitments made by Allies and called for continued military assistance to Ukraine.
"We agreed to start work on developing a strategic multi-year assistance programme for Ukraine – a clear demonstration that our support will continue for the long-haul," Stoltenberg said.
The NATO Secretary General is confident that the program will help Ukraine integrate into the Euro-Atlantic family.

As a reminder, Stoltenberg noted that without Ukraine's victory over Russia, the issue of NATO membership will not matter.

In addition, a meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Commission took place, during which the allies and Ukraine’s representatives discussed further support for Kyiv. The Ukrainian delegation is headed by Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has been invited to attend the July NATO summit to be held in the Lithuanian capital, Vilnius.
