Map of hostilities in Ukraine as of May 29-30
The long-expected counter offence in Kherson started. Hard to tell if it was a premature decision or not, but the enemy is already reacting and pulling up additional forces from Crimea
Russian troops offensive: map of hostilities
For two days the Ukrainian army has held the entire military front, as well as going into a counterattack on the South. The Ukraine Armed Forces took down 11 UAVs, 4 cruise missiles, 1 SU-25 aircraft and a Mi-35MS helicopter, which is worth USD 36 mil and is usually used to transport the higher Military Command. 20 tanks, 32 Fighting vehicles and 35 other vehicle types, 22 artillery systems and MRLs, and around 300 occupant personnel.
The enemy attacked over 50 settlements.
On the Southern front
The long-awaited counterattack of the Ukrainian Army has started in two places in the Kherson region at the same time. At first the Ukraine Armed Forces crossed the Inhulets river near the Davydiv Brid village, making their way across the river in four places simultaneously, and pushed the enemy lines back 10 km, settling down on the left riverbank. During this operation Bilohorka, Lozove and Andriivka villages were freed from the occupation. Prior to this operation the Ukraine Armed Forces successfully neutralised an enemy ammunition reserve near a village, which was detonating for a long time. Instead of hindering the counterattack, the enemy blew up the bridge over Inhulets river.
Another Ukraine Armed Forces’ counterattack has started in the Kherson region and Kryvyi Rih area of the Dnipropetrovsk region, where the Mykolaivka village was freed from the occupation.
To stop the Ukraine Forces’ counterattack, the Russian Forces started calling in additional mechanised infantry units, tank and artillery units. In the Oleshky region Iskander and Tochka-U units were deployed.
In the Odesa region Russians tried to attack the Dnistro estuary bridge. This is their sixth failed attempt. One of the cruise missiles was taken down mid-air, and the other two have hit the target.
In the Zaporizhzhya region a Ukrainian National Defence soldier took down a SU-25 aircraft with an Anti-tank Guided Missile. This was his third neutralised aircraft.
Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna (North-Eastern Ukraine)
The border-close areas of the Chernihiv and Sumy regions are attacked with missiles and shells daily, overall 14 settlements were attacked.
In the Kharkiv direction the Russian occupants attacked the Kyiv area of Kharkiv, damaging 9 streets, and the villages located to the North of the region centre.
At the same time, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to gradually push the enemy out of Ukraine, and also maintained a bridgehead on the left bank of the Pecheneg Reservoir, approximately between the villages of Stary Saltiv and Rubizhne.
In the Izyum direction, our soldiers liberated Velyka Komyshuvakha, which had been under occupation for more than a month. Meanwhile, the enemy wants to resume the offensive on Barvinkove, and is trying hard to break through our defenses in the villages of Dovgenke and Kurulka. It was here that they concentrated significant resources, so the Air Force strike aircraft struck the occupying forces in the area of Dovgenke. Su-25 attack aircraft and Su-24M bombers destroyed the company-tactical group, as well as ammunition depots and armored vehicles.
Severodonetsk (Luhansk region)
The enemy is gaining ground on the northeastern and southeastern outskirts of Severodonetsk, and is also conducting assault operations in the directions of Toshkivka and Ustynivka. In Lysychansk, the occupiers launched air strikes and tried to cut off one city from another, advancing on both sides along the river.
Bakhmut (Donetsk region)
The breakthrough in the Bakhmut direction was stabilized by the involvement of additional units from the 80th Paratrooper Brigade, as well as the 14th and 57th Mechanized Brigades. 5 km north of Popasna, the Ukrainian Armed Forces recaptured the village of Komyshuvakha and drove the enemy away from the Bakhmut-Severodonetsk highway. However, she is still being shot.
Mortar and artillery strikes in two days fell not only on the defensive positions of the Armed Forces, but also on the frontline settlements: New York, Bakhmut, Soledar, Siversk and the villages of Verkhnekamianske, Vrubivka, Berestove and Pokrovske.
Sloviansk, Lyman and Sviatohorsk (Donetsk region)
The Russian troops anaged to completely occupy the 22,000-strong Lyman. Ukrainian soldiers retreated to the woods, southwest, and to Raigorodok, near Slovyansk, in order to prevent the enemy from forcing the Seversky Donets, which is the largest natural line of defense in this area.
In addition, the invaders are trying to knock the Ukraine Armed Forces out of the forests around Sviatohirsk and cross the Seversky Donets near the villages of Pasika and Bogorodichne. Аll these intentions are being thwarted by our Defense Forces.
The maps are based on information received from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as other open and verified sources. At the same time, the maps are not as accurate as possible and only conditionally reflect the trends in the combat zone.
