Over the past day, the occupying Russian army lost 1,670 soldiers in the war against Ukraine. Ukrainian defenders also destroyed 13 armored vehicles and 12 tanks

Russia's total combat losses from February 24, 2022, to January 17, 2025, are approximately:

- artillery systems - 22,019 (+4),
- MLRS - 1,262 (+0),
- air defense systems - 1,046 (+0),
- aircraft - 369 (+0),
- helicopters - 331 (+0),
- UAVs of operational and tactical level - 22,566 (+63),
- cruise missiles - 3,049 (+0),
- ships/boats - 28 (+0),
- submarines - 1 (+0),
- vehicles and fuel tanks - 34,256 (+124),
- special equipment - 3,699 (+2).
