Russian forces fail to cross Oskil River in Ukraine’s Kharkiv region — Ukrainian officer
The commander of the Achilles Strike UAV Battalion of Ukraine's 92nd Separate Assault Brigade, Yuriy Fedorenko, stated that active combat operations are ongoing near Dvorichna in the Kharkiv region
He shared the information on Espreso TV.
"The Russians failed to establish crossings — this is a significant point. The Russian invaders are forced to use boats and rafts. This means that transferring the necessary amount of resources, forces, and equipment is extremely difficult for them," explained Fedorenko.
According to the commander of the Achilles UAV Battalion, Russian troops are facing systemic issues in fully securing a foothold on the right bank of the Oskil River and amassing forces for further advancement.
"The current situation near Dvorichna is very similar to what occurred around the village of Novomlynsk. Back then, Russians managed to bring in a certain number of personnel under poor weather conditions and other circumstances, attempting to expand their foothold. However, their progress was stabilized by the Ukrainian Defense Forces. As a result, Russian forces were driven out of Novomlynsk," Fedorenko recalled.
The commander also added that active combat is ongoing in Dvorichna, with battles now being extremely intense.
"In my view, there is every reason to believe that we will be able to block Russian troops and carry out the necessary measures to prevent them from fully realizing their plans," Fedorenko emphasized.
