Russia launches drone barrage on Ukraine, injures child in Kyiv

Attack aftermath in Kyiv region
At 10:41 p.m., Ukrinform reported the sound of an explosion in Kyiv. At 10:45 p.m., the Kyiv Regional Military Administration confirmed that air defense forces were engaging Russian targets in the region.
At 0:49 a.m., the Regional Military Administration reported that a 12-year-old child was injured due to the fall of drone debris in one of the settlements in the region.
“The boy has a suspected contusion and a laceration of the thigh. He has been hospitalized. The child is being provided with all necessary medical care,” they said.
The falling debris also caused a fire in a cafe shop and an attached boiler room. The fire is currently localized. The blast wave damaged the glazing of a neighboring building.
Odesa region
According to to Oleh Kiper, Head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Russian troops attacked the Izmail district of the Odesa region with strike drones during the night. Russian forces targeted the port infrastructure in the area.
“Fortunately, there were no casualties. The attack caused damage to building facades and a residential structure. All relevant services are actively working at the scene, and law enforcement is documenting the aftermath of yet another Russian terrorist act against the civilian population of the Odesa region,” Kiper stated.
