Ukrainian paratroopers capture 7 Russian soldiers in operation near Kurakhove
Servicemen with Ukraine’s 79th Separate Air Assault Brigade conducted a successful operation in the Kurakhove direction, capturing seven Russian soldiers
The Ukrainian Air Assault Forces reported the information.
As part of the operation, Ukrainian soldiers stormed a Russian position on the Kurakhove front. Using drones to attack Russian positions, the Ukrainian troops forced the enemy to retreat to defensive positions in their bunkers.
Executing a well-coordinated plan, the Ukrainian troops turned the enemy bunker into a trap. The Russian soldiers, cornered and unable to act effectively, faced a stark choice: die under fire from the Ukrainian paratroopers or surrender. After a brief hesitation, the Russian troops decided to lay down their weapons.
“Despite the hatred and contempt for the enemy who invaded our land with weapons, our assault troops acted honorably: they evacuated the prisoners to the rear and provided medical aid to those in need,” the report stated.
