Israeli journalist notes Russian influence in Hamas' attack on Israel
Israeli journalist Sergei Auslander says that it is beneficial for Russia to divert the West's attention from Ukraine and switch it to the Middle East, that is, to Israel
He said this on Espreso TV.
"I have no information whether Russia is behind this Hamas attack on Israel, but there is no doubt that it is beneficial to it. Because this kind of unrest in the Middle East, and now there is a potential for it to escalate even further, is definitely beneficial for Russia. That is, to divert the West's attention from Ukraine and switch it to the Middle East, to Israel," the Israeli journalist explained.
According to him, the Iranian factor cannot be discounted in this situation.
"Israel is now talking about the date of signing a peace treaty with Saudi Arabia, which would be a fantastic breakthrough. This is very unprofitable for Iran. In addition, Iran and Russia can no longer be seen separately from each other," said Auslander.
