Held captive and tortured before being shot dead at close range: 3 bodies exhumed in Bucha 

The Center for Strategic Communications and Information Security (CSCIS) shared the information on Facebook.

"On April 29, the bodies of three men were found in a pit in Bucha district” the CSCIS post starts. In the video, Kyiv Region Police Chief Andriy Nebytov says these men had been tortured over a prolonged period, their clothes were covered with blood, and there were bullet wounds on their limbs. 

The video shows bodies being exhumed, as Nebytov explains that initial analysis of the scene shows that the men were handcuffed, fabric was pulled over their faces, and some were gagged. 

They are thought to have been killed by close range shots into the ear. The identities of the dead men will need to be established forensically due to severe injuries to their faces, CSCIS says.

To date, in Kyiv region, Ukrainian investigators have examined 1,202 bodies of civilians killed by Russians. 

Forensics experts have found traces of metal from Russian artillery shells in bodies from Bucha and Irpen.
