Germany doesn't limit Ukraine on how it uses weapons supplied against Russia - Ambassador Feldhusen
When transferring weapons to Ukraine, the German government does not set out any requirements as to how and where they should not be used
German Ambassador to Ukraine Anka Feldhusen said this in an interview for the European Pravda publication.
"I read about the alleged demands of other partners. In Germany, I did not hear anything about it. I was recently at a conference of ambassadors, and it was not discussed. We are handing over weapons and can no longer influence what will be done with these weapons," she said.
Also, to a clarifying question, whether the decision will now be within the competence of Ukraine's Armed Forces, she answered: "And who else will use these weapons?"
Anka Feldhusen also stated that Germany does not recognize the Russian-staged referendums in the occupied territories and for them it is the territory of Ukraine and "Ukraine does what it deems necessary on its territory."
"Russia will say that this is their territory and they can answer for an attack on their territory. This is a clear escalation on the part of Russia. We clearly said that these are pseudo-votes, they are not referendums," she said.
According to Feldhusen, the EU is already negotiating new sanctions against those involved in fake voting.
"We will talk to our partners, even on other continents, about the fact that this is not an election, it is just blackmail of the people who live there. We are already talking about additional sanctions with our close partners," she added.
