Foreigners can remotely open business in Ukraine and pay taxes here: law on e-residency is adopted
The Verkhovna Rada adopted a law on e-resident status, which will allow foreigners to register a business in Ukraine and pay taxes under special conditions in a few clicks
This was announced by the Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov.
Parliament adopted the draft law on e-residency in the second reading. It was supported by 252 deputies.
"During a full-scale war, it is very important to attract additional funds to the budget and support the country's economy. The e-resident status will allow foreigners to register a business in a few clicks, develop it remotely and pay taxes in Ukraine on favorable terms (5% of income, 15% of the amount, which exceeds the limit)", said the minister.
According to Fedorov, the Ministry of Digitization team is already working on the development of a web version and a mobile application using digital signature cloud technologies. This will allow entrepreneurs to register or open a bank account quickly and conveniently, through a browser or smartphone, without papers and complex bureaucratic procedures.
The draft law on e-residency is another step towards building a strong IT brand of Ukraine in the world and supporting the economy.
