Fat rat Orban escapes Putin's ship – Piontkovsky
Washington-based political scientist Andrei Piontkovsky believes Orban’s position is threatened, he started to realize it after he was not invited to the Bucharest summit of leaders of all Eastern European countries in Warsaw
He shared his opinions with Espreso TV.
"Orban, such a fat rat, is escaping Putin's ship. Ukrainian videos are circulating where he asks for visits to Kyiv, saying that he has always dreamed of coming, but it hasn't worked out. Why is he now doing this? Because he was not invited to Bucharest. After all, after Biden's brilliant speeches in Kyiv and Warsaw, the next day he was hosting the very important Bucharest Summit of leaders of all Eastern European countries in Warsaw. Hungary also participated, but Orban was not invited, neither Biden nor all the Eastern European countries wanted to see him," the political analyst said.
Andrei Piontkovsky added that they invited a wonderful woman, Hungarian President Katalin Novak, who has strongly supported Ukraine and criticized Prime Minister Orban for his position several times.
"Orban's position is shaky, look how he fussed after he was not allowed to attend the meeting of Bucharest Nine. Not only did he start saying that he had long dreamed of coming to Kyiv, but he also scheduled a meeting of the Hungarian parliament for March 1 to ratify the treaties on Finland and Sweden's accession to NATO. Hungary, like Turkey, has been holding back on this until now. The Turks will be dealt with, too, and they would have no other choice, especially since Erdogan has to worry about maintaining his power. This ordeal with Orban is very demonstrative, now we are waiting for Mr. Ivanishvili (former Georgian Prime Minister, who continues to informally lead the country and is closely connected to the Russian political elite – ed.) to say that he has long dreamed of coming to Kyiv and express his admiration for the heroic struggle of the Ukrainian people," Piontkovsky commented.
