Russia may keep 100 tactical nuclear warheads 250 kilometers from Warsaw - Polish Foreign Ministry
Russia may have about 100 tactical nuclear warheads deployed in the Kaliningrad region, which borders Poland
Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski shared the information at the Ukraine Recovery Conference on June 11, Ukrainska Pravda reports.
"About 250 kilometers north of Warsaw lies the Kaliningrad region, a Russian exclave believed to house approximately 100 tactical nuclear warheads. To the east, about 250 kilometers away, is Belarus, where there have been reports of Russians and Belarusians attacking the EU and Schengen zone borders," he stated.
Poland's top diplomat emphasized that missiles fired during Russian attacks on Ukraine occasionally land on Polish territory. A missile had landed just 10 kilometers from his home in western Poland. He stressed that "the danger is closer" than it might seem.
