EU allocates new tranche of EUR 1.5 billion for Ukraine
On Tuesday, July 25, the European Union allocated a new tranche of macro-financial assistance to Ukraine worth EUR 1.5 billion
This was reported by the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen.
"I firmly condemn the Russian strikes on Ukrainian grain storage and export infrastructure. As Russia continues its ruthless war, we continue to support Ukraine," she tweeted.
It is reported that today the European Commission has allocated another EUR 1.5 billion to help Ukraine preserve its statehood and repair the infrastructure damaged by Russian shelling.

Also on May 23, the European Commission allocated an EUR 1.5 billion tranche of macro-financial assistance to Ukraine. The funds will be used to pay salaries, pensions and repair critical infrastructure.

On May 30, the International Monetary Fund and the Ukrainian authorities reached an agreement at the expert level on the first review of the Extended Fund Facility program. This paves the way for a USD 900 million tranche.
