Denmark allocates EUR 170 million for military aid to Ukraine
On Friday, June 30, the Danish government announced a new military aid package for Ukraine, which will include air defense missiles, ammunition, and demining equipment
The Danish Defense Ministry's press service reported this.
The government will allocate DKK 1.3 billion (EUR 170 million) for the aid package to Ukraine. The package will also include funds for the purchase of artillery shells jointly with the EU. The full content of the new military aid package has not been disclosed.
“International cooperation is crucial to continue supporting Ukraine's fight for freedom. Unfortunately, it seems that the war is dragging on, and with the numerous donations, we and our allies are sending a strong message that we stand by the Ukrainians in the long term,” said Acting Minister of Defense Troels Lund Poulsen.
He added that the aid package was formed on the basis of Ukraine's wishes and needs, and is being financed by the newly created Ukrainian Foundation.
