China has pushed Putin to war with Ukraine - political expert

Washington-based political scientist Andrey Piontkovsky noted that China is repeating the same tactics in the war with Israel as it did in the war with Ukraine

He said this in the Studio West with Antin Borkovsky program on the Espreso TV channel.

"China is repeating the same tactics in the war with Israel as it did in the war with Ukraine. It is pushing its lackeys, both Iran and Putin. He is using them to test the West's readiness. China has two very different options. The classic one is what it did to Putin - it pushed him to war. Because if Putin had succeeded, if he had taken Kyiv in five days, as American intelligence predicted at the time, then all the problems with Taiwan would have been solved," Piontkovsky explained.

According to the political scientist, China politically supports Iran and pushes it to war with Israel.

"America would be completely discredited. No one would trust it in the Far East, and Beijing would take Taiwan with its bare hands. And if Putin fails, he will come crawling to Beijing like a mangy dog. Putin is already willing to play the role of the younger brother, and China gets all the economic leverage. In any case, China would win either Taiwan or Siberia. Now Xi is making a second attempt: what can Iran do in the Middle East? China supports Iran politically and pushes it too. But it hasn't bound itself to anything, and leaves open any possible paths," Piontkovsky added.

  • China will probably not participate in the meeting of national security advisors in Malta on October 28 and 29, where they will discuss the Ukrainian Formula for Peace.

  • The United States and China have agreed to jointly organize a meeting between leaders Joe Biden and Xi Jinping.
