Austria announces 2 million Euro for demining in Ukraine
After fierce debates, the Austrian government announced it will contribute demining equipment to Ukraine worth a total of 2 million Euro

Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer has announced that Austria will allocate 2 million euros to the International Trust Fund (ITF). The funding for demining equipment will be sourced from the Foreign Emergency Relief Fund of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Austria.
Nehammer emphasized that Austrian soldiers will not be deployed to Ukrainian soil while it remains a war zone, but Austria will provide financial support for demining efforts.
Vice-Chancellor Werner Kogler further explained that Austria's contribution aims to protect against life-threatening mine explosions and facilitate the safe return of Ukrainian children to kindergartens and schools. Additionally, Austria seeks to enhance food security by enabling farmers to resume their agricultural activities.
