Andrea Bocelli shelters dog from Kupyansk, which almost lost its hearing from explosions

Oles Malyarevich, deputy of the Kyiv City Council, announced this on Facebook.

The dog Jack from the city of Kupyansk moved to Italy and became a member of Andrea Bocelli's family. The dog was found on the second day after the liberation of the city. Oles Malyarevich told his American friend Amed and brother Taras Malyarevich about Jack.

"A few days later, Jack's fateful meeting with Amed took place, where he immediately offered to find Jack a new safe home and he found it! This is how Jack's journey to Italy, to the family of Andrea Bocelli began. I now call Amed Jack's godfather," said the deputy of the Kyiv City Council .

The dog was taken to Kyiv in a minibus, which was donated to Kyiv by the city hall of Toulouse for aerial reconnaissance. In Kyiv, Jack was first examined by the chief veterinarian of Kyiv, Natalia Mazur, and together with the team of the Animal Protection Center, they performed a surgical intervention, removed a splinter from an old wound on his back, and treated the animal for five days.

"The road from Kyiv to Italy is a separate story, it became possible thanks to volunteer Iryna Kalyna, Tetyana Stepanenko and my brother Taras Malyarevich. Amed and Taras took care of all issues during the entire trip," Malyarchuk wrote.

He also thanked the Bocelli family "for their big heart and kindness."

The complete liberation of the city of Kupyansk from the Russian occupiers was announced on September 16.
