Allies supply Ukraine with air defense systems for temporary use in winter — Ukraine’s Air Force
Ukraine has received air defense systems for temporary use from some international partners to strengthen its defenses over the winter
The spokesman of the Air Force of Ukraine, Yuriy Ihnat, shared the information on the United News telethon.
"We already have experience in this regard. Certain countries have supplied air defense systems for our use. It's evident that each nation primarily prioritizes its own interests and national defense. No one is inclined to provide us with their air defense systems for free. The reason for the gradual supply of air defense systems is the limited availability of such systems worldwide, making it impossible to fulfill our requirements all at once," he said.
At the same time, Ihnat added that Ukraine is "expanding its arcenal" for the winter, new systems are arriving, but more are needed.
"The fact that Ukraine can get these systems for use during the heating season is a great and positive sign," emphasized the spokesman.
The spokesperson further emphasized the significance of air defense, particularly during the heating season. It involves not only the systems themselves but also the ammunition and missiles required.
At the same time, Ihnat refused to name specific countries that lease air defense systems to Ukraine.
"Let's not say which countries. This information is sensitive, especially since our partners did not want us to disclose it," the spokesman added.
