Air Alert app raises UAH 10 million for Ukraine’s Army of Drones
The Air Alert app helps raise funds for the Army of Drones for the Ukrainian military. UAH 10 million has been raised in just 8 months
The Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, Mykhailo Fedorov, reported the information.
The legendary Star Wars actor and UNITED24 ambassador Mark Hamill voiced the English version of the Air Alert app. He also supported the fund raiser for Danish RQ-35 Heidrun drones.
The eight-month initiative raised UAH 10 million for the Army of Drones.
"Drones work effectively in electronic warfare and allow soldiers to conduct reconnaissance without endangering their lives," the minister explained.
Fedorov also thanked Hamill and Ajax Systems and Stfalcon for their initiative to help the Ukrainian military.
A total of 3,201 UAVs have been purchased for the Army of Drones in the first 9 months of its operation.

As of December 31, 2022, 1,577 drones have been purchased as part of the Army of Drones project, and 928 are already at the front.

On January 31, Ukrainian intelligence officers in Donetsk region received 12 more SKIF and STEN-2 unmanned aerial vehicles from the Army of Drones project.

In March, 300 Mavic 3T unmanned aerial vehicles were transferred to the frontline in the east, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions by the Army of Drones project.

On July 5, the Army of Drones project launched a charity initiative with Ukrzaliznytsia and tea manufacturer Gemini, where people can donate to the drone while traveling.
