Largest military aid, Russian assets, peace summit: Zelenskyy speaks with British Prime Minister Sunak
On Tuesday, April 23, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a telephone conversation with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak
He wrote about it on his Telegram.
In particular, the British prime minister informed President Zelenskyy about the allocation of the largest defense support package in history, worth half a billion pounds.
"Storm Shadow and other types of missiles, hundreds of armored vehicles and boats, ammunition - all this is really needed by Ukraine on the battlefield," the president said.
He thanked the UK and the Prime Minister personally for showing such strong support.
"And also for their willingness to further develop defense cooperation, especially with a focus on maritime and long-range capabilities," Zelenskyy added.
In addition, he discussed with Sunak the need to create an effective model for the confiscation of Russian assets and shared his expectations for the upcoming peace summit in Switzerland and the summit of the European Political Community in the UK.
