Three more security agreements, new defense packages: Zelenskyy summarizes week of meetings with allies
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced new security agreements with three countries after a week of meetings with U.S. and European allies
He made this announcement in a morning address on July 14.
"There are three new security agreements for Ukraine: Poland, Luxembourg, and Romania. And now the team is working on new documents – there will be agreements with the Czech Republic, and Slovenia. After the meeting with the Prime Minister of Ireland, we also decided to prepare an agreement," he stated.
Zelenskyy added that discussions with various leaders, congressmen, public figures, President Joe Biden, and Speaker of the House of Representatives Mike Johnson have led to decisions about Patriot and other air defense systems for Ukraine, along with new defense packages.
He thanked all partners and emphasized Ukraine's efforts to increase the strength and number of Ukrainian Patriots.
Zelenskyy also mentioned upcoming meetings with Ukrainian regional leaders after talks with American governors.
"After meetings with U.S. governors, I will meet with our regional leaders, as we need cooperation between regions as well, between communities and community leaders directly. Healthcare, shelters, defense industries, etc. The United States is ready to help at all these levels," he said.
- On July 13, Zelenskyy met with the Irish Prime Minister to discuss cooperation in various areas and address the issue of children deported by Russia.
