Russia bombs children’s hospital: why it's important to show both horror and unity

Many world media reported and showed how Russian forces attacked the children's hospital. Shocking images, videos of children and destruction are published

Ordinary Russians are only happy to see children being killed. That's why the Russian authorities are organizing these attacks - to please their orcs, and, at the same time, to influence public opinion in Western countries.

Their goal is to make people in the West afraid and think about how to appease Russia with a piece of Ukraine. We are currently living in a situation reminiscent of 1938 and the Munich Agreement.

That's why images of injured children mainly document Russian crimes. Simply broadcasting all of Ukraine's suffering would play into the hopes of Russian terrorists and spread fear of their actions.

Journalists have known this dilemma for a long time: showing the aftermath of a terrorist attack is necessary, but it also risks aiding terrorist propaganda. It raises the difficult question: what should be done?

In my opinion, alongside depicting the aftermath of these attacks, we should also show how hundreds of Kyiv residents mobilized to clear the rubble of the hospital within hours, using their bare hands. How people brought water and food. How they moved children to bomb shelters under the threat of another attack.

Let's show the world that we are not only suffering, but actively saving our own people by mobilizing efforts to overcome the aftermath of Russian terror. And that we are able to strike back. I believe this is crucial at this moment.
