US surgeons to operate on 50 children from all over Ukraine in Lviv

This was reported by the Lviv Regional Medical Association, according to Espreso.

The surgeons have pre-selected 50 children under 18 who have extremely complex facial defects and who have not been able to receive help in Ukraine before.

These include congenital defects of the head and neck, complex genetic syndromes, trauma, vascular malformations, etc. The youngest patient is only 8 months old. The geography of the assistance is impressive, as patients come from all over Ukraine. There are also children who were wounded as a result of Russian war against Ukraine.

This is the fifth visit of American doctors to Lviv. It is planned that the US surgeons will return to the Lviv OKHMATDYT with a new charitable mission.
