Ukrainian military starts training in Belgium to operate underwater drones 

Belgian Defense Minister Ludivine Dedonder reported the information.

"Today we are welcoming Ukrainian soldiers in Belgium as part of the EUMAM mission," the statement said.

She noted that they will be trained on underwater systems supplied by Belgium to Ukraine.

"I’ve expressed them my profound support and saluted the courage shown for almost a year now," the minister added.

• On November 1, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced a fundraising campaign for the Ukrainian fleet of maritime drones on the UNITED24 platform. By the evening, funds had already been raised for the first drone. The drones will be called Kherson. 

• On November 11, Lithuanians, who had previously donated a Bayraktar UAV to Ukraine, raised USD 250,000 for the second drone. By the end of the day, they had raised funds for 3 drones: 5 IT companies joined the initiative.

• In less than a week, Ukraine raised funds for 25 maritime drones.

• In late November, Belgium approved a new military aid package for Ukraine. It will include 10 underwater drones and 2 mobile laboratories.
