Slovenia funds three pyrotechnic vehicles for Ukraine’s Emergency Services
On January 18, as part of the United24 initiative, Ukraine’s State Emergency Service (SES) received three lightweight Kozak PM-L pyrotechnic vehicles, funded by Slovenia
Ukraine’s Ministry of Economy reported the information.
The tender for the purchase of lightweight pyrotechnic vehicles was conducted in September 2024. The total cost of the three vehicles was approximately UAH 38 million, which is UAH 3.6 million less than the initial estimate.
Vehicles of this class have been in use by the SES for several years. According to SES head Andrii Danyk, the equipment will be deployed to operational task zones on Sunday, January 19.
The ministry noted that this is the second delivery of equipment purchased with funds provided by Slovenia. In October of last year, the SES received two transporters for carrying demining machines. In December 2023, the governments of Ukraine and Slovenia signed an agreement allocating €1.5 million for humanitarian aid in the demining sector.
“We are focused on expertise and innovation in the field of demining, which we are happy to share with you. We are glad to have the opportunity and financial resources to support Ukraine over the past two years, and we will continue to do so,” said Tanja Fajon, Slovenia’s Minister of Foreign and European Affairs.
