The Ukrainian military launched an operation on the left bank of the Kherson region on September 14 and 15. On October 20, ISW stated that Ukrainian offensives on the left bank of the Dnipro in the Kherson region appeared to be larger in scale than previous operations. Geolocation data indicated that the Ukrainian Armed Forces maintained a presence along the Dnipro River coastline and near the Antonivsky Bridge. On the same day, President Zelenskyy visited the Kherson region, where he conducted a meeting and presented awards.
ISW reported on October 21 that the Ukrainian Armed Forces were continuing larger-than-usual ground operations on the left bank of the Kherson region. Specifically, Ukrainian forces were engaged in combat in the village of Krynky.
Natalia Humeniuk, head of the joint coordination press center of the Southern Defense Forces, noted that in order to improve conditions on the right bank of the Dnipro, it was necessary to clear part of the left bank, which was still under fire from Russian invaders.
