Ukraine used "grain corridor" to attack Sevastopol bay - Russian Ministry of Defense
The Ukrainian side used the security zone and one of the "grain corridor" vessels in order to launch drone strikes on Russian warships in Sevastopol on Saturday, October 29.
The Russian Defense Ministry issued a statement about this on Sunday, October 30.
The basis for their conclusion is an "examination of Canadian-made navigation modules installed on unmanned marine vehicles" allegedly conducted by the Russian side.
"According to information recovered from the navigation receiver memory, it was established that the launch of marine drones was carried out from the coast near the city of Odesa. Marine drones moved through the security zone of "grain corridor", after which they changed their route in the direction of the Russian maritime base in Sevastopol. At the same time, coordinates of the movement of one of the marine drones indicate a starting point in the marine water area's security zone for the "grain corridor" in the Black Sea", the Russian Ministry of Defense said.
"According to experts, this may indicate the launch of this device from board of one of the civilian vessels chartered by Kyiv or its Western patrons to export agricultural products from the seaports of Ukraine", the statement concludes.

On the morning of October 29, drones of various types (surface and underwater) attacked and damaged, as Ukrainian military journalist Andriy Tsaplienko claims with reference to his own sources, at least three Russian "Calibre" missile-carrying ships.

Russia called this event a "terrorist attack" and accused Ukraine and Great Britain. They said that Ukrainians acted together with "British experts" who are also apparently behind the undermining of both branches of the Nord Stream gas pipeline in the Baltic Sea.

In addition, Russia unilaterally suspended its participation in the multilateral "grain agreement", thus no longer guaranteeing safety of grain exports from the Black Sea ports controlled by Ukraine.

On October 30, Oleksandr Kubrakov, Ukrainian Minister of Infrastructure, announced forced stoppage of export of Ukrainian grain by sea.
