The world provided the Armed Forces of Ukraine with about 600 types of weapons, military equipment and ammunition. This is more than any army in the world has

This was stated by U.S. Army Europe and Africa Command spokesman, Colonel Martin O'Donnell, in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.

He pointed out that Ukraine has been provided with around 600 types of weapons and ammunition by the United States and the international community, including Abrams tanks, Leopard tanks, and the Patriot system.

"It's a lot. It's more than any other army in the world has, especially a fighting army," emphasized O'Donnell.

According to him, it is evident that each type of weapon requires support, ammunition, and much more, and a significant part of today's discussions focused on providing ammunition for air defense so that the Ukrainians can cover their skies and, in particular, ground forces when the Armed Forces launch a counteroffensive.

"Ukraine is doing great," added the American colonel.

O'Donnell doesn't think that any specific weapon can act as a "silver bullet" at this stage of the war.

"I don't believe that there is a silver bullet in this situation. I think the willingness of Ukrainians to use the 600 different systems we have already provided is the silver bullet in this case," he notes.

Furthermore, the spokesman emphasized that not all types of weapons have been put into operation yet: "In the coming weeks and months, when everything starts, it will be telling how the Ukrainians use the systems that have been provided to them. Since Ukraine, I hope, will be successful on the battlefield, it is even more important that the international community continues to provide logistics and ammunition to make them even more successful."

As you may know, the Pentagon recently announced a new security assistance package to Ukraine aimed mainly at strengthening its air defense and ensuring the needs of artillery ammunition, with a total value of up to 1.2 billion dollars.
