"I'm in the middle. I want to solve this thing... I want to see it get solved," Trump remarked, adding that he spoke with Russian leader Vladimir Putin just a few days ago, and that Putin is eager to strike a deal.
Trump also commented: "I'm not aligned with Putin", saying he was aligned with the U.S. and the good of the world. He reiterated NATO and Europe needed to step up.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy acknowledged the progress made through a mineral deal but stressed “it’s not enough,” emphasizing that Putin must ultimately face the consequences for initiating the war.
