Turkey approves Finland's NATO bid
The Turkish Parliament has passed a bill approving Finland's accession to NATO

Turkey was the last country expected to approve Finland's NATO bid.
The bill approving the protocol of Finland's accession to NATO was adopted by the Grand National Assembly, the legislature of Turkey.
“The Turkish Parliament voted unanimously in favor of Finland’s membership, clearing the last hurdle in the accession process” the reports said.

In June 2022, before the official opening of the NATO summit in Madrid, Ankara agreed to Sweden and Finland's accession to the North Atlantic Alliance.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg announced an official invitation to Sweden and Finland to join the Alliance. With the exception of Hungary and Turkey, NATO members have since ratified their accession protocols. Ankara has been blocking accession, citing what it considers insufficient counterterrorism efforts among NATO applicants.
