To defend Ukraine, we must be in NATO and EU, and we will be - Kniazhytskyi in interview with Polish media
Ukrainian politician and journalist Mykola Kniazhytskyi says that there is no other way out for Ukraine. If Ukraine were in the NATO earlier, this war would not have happened
Ukrainian MP Mykola Kniazhytskyi shared his point of view with Polish journalist Bohdan Zalewski in an interview for the RMF24 internet radio.
"The same applies to the European Union," he added.
The politician said that Ukraine, as a post-Soviet country, really needs to prepare for joining NATO and the EU, change a lot, but he believes it is absolutely realistic: "Our citizens care, they want to be part of the Union, and I believe they will be. Legislative issues are on our side, and now everything depends on us. But everyone in Ukraine understands why we have to do this."
Mykola Kniazhytskyi also expressed hope that the weapons promised by the European partners would arrive in Ukraine as soon as possible.
"Of course, President Biden said that there should be a quick Ukrainian counteroffensive, at most within two or three months. This will not be possible without tanks, so I hope they will be delivered as soon as possible," the Ukrainian MP told RMF24.
