The volunteer center for evacuated citizens works at the railway station of Kyiv - Maryna Poroshenko
There is a volunteer center at Kyiv Railway Station that assists IDPs from different regions of Ukraine who are currently at the epicenter of hostilities.
This was announced by Maryna Poroshenko.
She visited the station and handed out food and necessities to the evacuees.
"The war has deprived thousands of people of their homes. They are leaving places dear to their hearts. They are saving children and elderly parents. They are going into obscurity, not knowing what their future will be like," Maryna Poroshenko wrote.
"From Kyiv Central Railway Station, evacuation trains are constantly departing to the western regions of Ukraine and special trains go to Poland, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia. There are hundreds of people in the waiting rooms of the station. That's why a volunteer support center has been set up here, which provides people with necessities, food, psychological and medical care," Ms. Poroshenko said.
"Since the first days of the war, our team has been handing out hot food, snacks, sweets, and water to the evacuated people to help them wait and get to safer places. Once again, I bow my head to my compatriots. I admire our strength of spirit and courage, our ability to resist the enemy and support each other, our confidence in the Armed Forces and the victory of Ukraine", she said.
