Ukrainian President names countries opposing Ukraine’s NATO membership

He made this statement at a press conference at Esenboğa Airport in Ankara, according to Anadolu.  

"99% of European leaders support our NATO membership. Slovakia, Hungary, Germany, and the United States do not support it yet, but we understand that the U.S. plays an important role in shaping opinions," the Ukrainian leader noted.  

Zelenskyy emphasized that he raises the issue of Ukraine's NATO membership to prevent the resumption of war.  

"President Erdoğan also understands this and expressed support for Ukraine's future NATO membership. He realizes the importance of this, and many in Europe also understand it," said the president.  

He added that without NATO, there can be no guarantees for Ukraine. According to Zelenskyyy, Ukraine has a strong army, but to support it, weapons and money are needed.
