Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs threatens US with consequences of recognizing Russia sponsor of terrorism
The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs have threatened the US with completely severing relations in the event that Russia is recognized as a state sponsor of terrorism.
This is reported by the Russian mass media.
According to Oleksandr Darchiev, director of the North American Department of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Moscow warned Washington that recognizing the Russian Federation as a state sponsor of terrorism could lead to a complete breakdown in relations between the countries.
"In this context, I will mention the legislative initiative currently being discussed in the Congress to declare Russia a state sponsor of terrorism. If it is implemented, it will mean that Washington has crossed the point of no return with the most serious collateral damage to bilateral relations, up to a decrease in their level and even a break. The American side is warned," said Darchiev.
Currently, the US list of state sponsors of terrorism includes Syria, Iran, North Korea and Cuba.
