Russian establishment is looking for ways out of current situation, but is not ready to talk about reparations - political analyst Mahda

Political scientist Yevhen Mahda shared his take on the situation in Russia with Espreso TV.

"I have repeatedly noted that there are lies, there are cynical lies, and there are statements by Russian political leaders. The Putin-Medvedev-Lavrov triumvirate is trying to prove to the world that Russia is at war with NATO and that it did not start the war. This, in my opinion, shows that the Russian establishment is looking for ways out of the current situation while minimising its own losses. It is clear that they are now at a stage where they are not yet at the point where they can talk about recognizing the need for reparations or anything else. I think that with the current configuration of the government, it will not come to this point," he said.
