Ukrainian cyber specialists attack Russian judicial system - media
On October 7, Ukraine's Defense Intelligence cyber specialists teamed up with VO Team activists to target Russia's Pravosudie automated system, which handles electronic court documents
The sources of RBC-Ukraine, Suspilne, and Babel report.
According to the sources, the attack paralyzed the work of courts, departmental e-mail accounts, and official websites. At the same time, cyber specialists obtained user data and internal documentation of the Pravosudie system.
"At the moment, Russians report that it is impossible to file lawsuits and view court hearings because the courts' websites are down," the sources said.
Sources claim that the attack was possible due to the low qualifications of Russian cyber specialists and "holes" in the "hyped" cybersecurity systems of the Russian Federation from Kaspersky Lab, Positive Technologies, and IVK JSC.
For reference: Pravosudie is an electronic document management system in Russian courts of all jurisdictions and levels. Citizens of the Russian Federation can use it to file lawsuits, receive advice on lawsuits, and receive information about court dates and rescheduling.
- On October 7, Ukrainian hackers also attacked the resources of the All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company, including the Kremlin's Rossiya-1, Rossiya-24, and other channels.
