"This video was released in anticipation of the Day of Engineers, celebrated in Ukraine on November 3. It highlights the efforts of the sappers from the 24th Brigade named after King Danylo, who are instrumental in countering the enemy in Chasiv Yar. Their work in mine clearance and the timely installation of engineering barriers is crucial for successful defense in the steppe terrain of Donbas, especially against significantly larger enemy forces," the military emphasizes.
The report showcases the combat missions of the 24th Brigade's sappers, including the installation of TM anti-tank mines, the deployment of non-explosive barriers, and features the sounds of ongoing shelling, along with archival footage and soldiers' personal accounts.
Background on the 24th Mechanized Brigade
The 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo is a military unit within the mechanized troops of the Ukrainian Land Forces. It operates under the operational command West. The brigade is named in honor of King Danylo, the ruler of the Kingdom of Rus, who was a notable statesman and military commander during the Middle Ages.
Since the beginning of the Russian aggression in 2014, units of the brigade have been deployed in many areas of the war in eastern Ukraine. The brigade's soldiers were also involved in combat operations during the full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
