Ukraine returns 7 children, their families from occupied part of Kherson region
Another 7 children and their families have been rescued from the Russian-occupied part of the Kherson region
Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, reported the information on July 10.
According to him, six boys and one girl, aged 9 to 17, have been safely returned to Ukrainian-controlled territory.
"The children and their parents shared the horrors they endured in the temporarily occupied Kherson region, including bullying, searches, and threats. Fortunately, they are now safe and beginning the recovery process. They are receiving the necessary medical and psychological assistance," the regional head wrote.
He mentioned that the charitable organization Save Ukraine facilitated their return.
According to Oleksandr Prokudin, 146 children have been brought back to Ukrainian-controlled territory from the temporarily occupied part of the Kherson region since the beginning of 2024.
