Russia strikes Kharkiv with guided aerial bombs
On Tuesday afternoon, April 9, the Russian military targeted the center of Kharkiv with two guided aerial bomb strikes, resulting in casualties as the search for the wounded continues
This is according to Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov.
"Two explosions over the central part of the city. Preliminary assessment suggests guided aerial bombs were used. Details regarding casualties and damage are being investigated," stated the city's mayor.
Later, Terekhov confirmed three known casualties, with ongoing efforts to locate and assist the injured at the site of impact.
Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, said that the Russians attacked a civilian enterprise.
"There is destruction and fire in the buildings. Currently, there are three injured, all in moderate condition, all company employees. The rubble is being cleared, people may be trapped," he wrote.
Later, Syniehubov provided details about the victims, which included two men and one woman.
A 31-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman received shrapnel wounds and explosive injuries and were hospitalized. A 55-year-old man was treated on the spot.
