Russian shelling in Zaporizhzhia region kills one civilian
On Monday, February 19, a man was killed as a result of Russian shelling in the village of Prymorske, Zaporizhzhia region
Askad Ashurbekov, a deputy of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Council, said this on the Espreso TV channel.
"In Prymorske, a 57-year-old man was killed after one of the shellings. Russian forces are destroying civilian infrastructure and killing civilians in broad daylight every day," he said.
Over the past few days, the number of attacks on the frontline territories and the contact line in the Zaporizhzhia region has increased several times, Ashurbekov said.
"The enemy is trying to break through the frontline around the clock. But there are no significant shifts on the contact line. The military continue to defend the territory of the region at their positions. However, this "Russian offensive" only leads to an increase in the number of attacks on the civilian infrastructure of the territorial community," the MP said.
- As of February 18, the intensity at the front somewhat decreased, despite the fact that in the Zaporizhzhia sector, some Russian troops managed to break through the defences near Verbove and break through to Robotyne.
