Global event of destroying Russian aircraft goes beyond war in Ukraine — Defense Express
Defense Express military expert Ivan Kyrychevskyi notes that the skills of Ukrainian anti-aircraft gunners about the downing of the Russian A-50 aircraft is valuable for the Americans and Chinese
He shared his opinions with Espreso TV.
"As strange as it may sound, the Russians, who declare confrontation with NATO, are trying to copy NATO doctrine in the use of aviation. When tactical aircraft do not take off to strike ground targets without being escorted by radar surveillance aircraft. And then there is a second global point that goes beyond our theater of operations, and even our war. The knowledge of how it was possible to shoot down an aircraft that was flying more than 150 kilometers from the contact line can now be very valuable for both American partners and the Chinese," Kyrychevskyi explained.
The military expert also added that America and China are actively preparing for a major war in the Pacific, and such aircraft will be needed.
"China has several similar aircraft to the Russian A-50. Both sides will try to down such aircraft. Previously, it was believed that radar surveillance aircraft in all armies were invulnerable. Because they fly far away from the contact line. Now it turned out that there are tools to bring the line of contact closer to such specific aircraft. The knowledge gained by our anti-aircraft gunners will bring us bonuses," emphasized Kyrychevskyi.
