Russia's war with NATO on Ukrainian territory is inevitable - former MP Hopko
Former MP Hanna Hopko says that Russia uses hybrid methods to attack democracies in the European Union and NATO
Hanna Hopko, former MP and chairman of the ANTS National Interests Protection Network, said this on Espreso.
"So far, it does not sound like Russian aggression against Ukraine is a war in Europe, there is no realization that Russian imperialism is fighting against the European Union and NATO member states right now on the territory of Ukraine, but the clash is already inevitable. Because hybrid methods, from interference in political processes, funding proxy parties, to various hybrid attacks on underwater communications in the Baltic Sea, are what is already happening around Spitsbergen in the Arctic. That is, obviously, the Russian Federation, along with other evil entities, continues to attack democracies using various methods," Hopko said.
The former MP recalled that it was at the Munich Security Conference in 2007 that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin said that he would form a new order that would not be based on respect for international law, internationally recognized borders, territorial integrity, sovereignty, and independent states.
"If in 2014 it was only Russia that started the invasion of Ukraine, then in 2024 Russia, China, North Korea, Iran are already at war against the West, against Ukraine, and Belarus has been desovereignized. In Munich, I really hope that we will be able to convince Scholz not to delay the decision to provide Ukraine with Taurus," summarized the former Ukraine’s MP.
