At least 1200 civilians from Zaporizhzhia region are being held hostage by Russia - Military Administration
According to the official registry, 1200 residents of Zaporizhzhia region are held captive by the Russians. However, this figure may be much higher
The head of the Regional Military Administration Ivan Fedorov said this, Ukrinform reports.
"According to the official register, there are 1200 people in captivity. My opinion is that it is about twice as many," he said.
In addition, Fedorov called on people who remain in the occupation to leave. After all, no one can provide security guarantees there.
The head of the Military Administration also added that a separate headquarters has been set up in Zaporizhzhia on the basis of the IDP Assistance Center from Melitopol that collects information on abducted people. It contains all the recommendations on what to do if a person is taken prisoner, where to apply, and whom to contact. After that, the work starts together with the special services and a representative of the Ombudsman.
