Putin will do everything to keep Lukashenko alive – Belarusian public figure Viačorka
Franak Viačorka, an adviser to Belarusian oppositionist Sviatlana Tikhanouskaya, believes that Putin may not be able to sustain a new political and possibly military front in Belarus, so he will hold on to Lukashenko and send him doctors
He shared his opinions with Espreso TV.
"Putin has big problems with the frontline, he lacks people and ammunition, and the myth of invincible Russia is falling. And with the political crisis in Belarus, a new political and possibly military front is opening up, and Putin may not be able to handle it," the Belarusian public figure said.
Franak Viačorka noted that if the Ukrainian counteroffensive is successful, then for Putin to have Belarus, which is now fighting against Russia for change and democracy, by his side is a great risk of losing everything.
"Putin is holding on to Lukashenko and will continue to do so, sending doctors to pump him out. If Lukashenko needs to be kept on a ventilator, it will be done to keep him alive, because Lukashenko is the only one who guarantees Putin control over Belarus. Putin knows how to work and manage Lukashenko, who is the most loyal and pro-Russian. And any change in the leadership of Belarus means the creation of a new uncontrolled situation," commented Viačorka.
