Tabaivka is not captured by Russia, fighting persists — Army spokesman Fitio
Volodymyr Fitio, head of the public relations service of Ukraine's Land Forces Command, clarified that Russia's media boasting about the capture of Tabaivka is not true
He shared the information on Espreso TV.
"The village of Krokhmalne, Kupyansk district, holds significance for Russian troops as they seek to portray some semblance of victory before the elections. Before the large-scale invasion, 45 people lived in Krokhmalne, and today there are no civilians; the village has been destroyed. The enemy presents this as a victory on a scale similar to the capture of Berlin. This is all the occupiers can boast of today," commented the head of the public relations service.
According to him, the loss of Krokhmalne is not so crucial for Ukraine because its defenders have relocated to more favorable positions.
"And the capture of Tabaivka that the enemy is now boasting about is not true. There are still hostilities there, so the enemy has not captured Tabaivka. Therefore, these minimal advances in this area are all the invaders have managed. On our part, the main thing is to save the lives of our soldiers. If there is an opportunity to move to better positions to take up defense and then move to offensive actions, to improve the tactical situation, this will be done. Commanders make the right, informed tactical decisions to save the lives of their personnel," emphasized Volodymyr Fitio.
