Liberation of Kherson is long phased operation - military expert Kovalenko
Oleksandr Kovalenko, a military-political columnist of "Information Resistance", believes that the liberation of Kherson is impossible without solving the problems of Beryslav and Snigurivka
He told about this on Espreso.
"I don't know what kind of analysis was done to come to the conclusions about the liberation of Kherson in a week, because it will be a longer operation. If we look at how the deoccupation of the right-bank part of the Kherson region is taking place, it is going step by step, stage by stage. In fact, the operation began from the end of May to the first days of June, and first there was the liberation of Posad-Pokrovsky, and then there was the stage of increasing our bridgehead on the left bank of the Ingulets River," the military expert noted.
Oleksandr Kovalenko reminded that the next stage was the liberation of Visokopill, and then the expansion of the bridgehead of the northern and northeastern locations, and when Davidiv Brid was liberated, then Dudchany, then the location of a large bridgehead for a counteroffensive was formed.
"The next stage is Beryslav, but the liberation of Kherson without solving the problems of Beryslav and Snigurivka is impossible. Movement from the direction of Posad-Pokrovsky will not be effective enough, therefore conditions will be created in stages so that it is possible to carry out counteroffensive actions towards Kherson from three directions. Accordingly, it is not can be done in a week, understanding that there is a large concentration of forces and means of the Russian occupiers, as well as the existence of some kind of their line of defense," Kovalenko explained.
